For Public Media People of Color
Tell your story. Find community. Take advantage of the resources below.
Tell Your Story
Telling your story, even anonymously, can be a wonderfully healing experience, particularly for those of us who’ve struggled to feel seen. We’re collecting stories of what it’s like to be a person of color working in public media. We then share these stories on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and webinars. It’s completely up to you how much you wish to share. Do what feels right to you. You can read stories from other people of color and share your truth on our Stories page.
Communities
You are not alone. Whether you’re looking for support, resources, connections, mutual understanding, or inside jokes, these communities got you! These groups are open to all people of color in public media, no matter what kind of organization you work for or the kind of work you do.
These are safe spaces for people of color. If you are not a person of color, please respect the sanctity of these spaces and do not apply to join.
These groups are moderated by individuals involved with Public Media for All, but operate as completely independent organizations.
